One of the strongest regional promotions in the country, Tachi Palace Fights is known for showcasing lighter weight classes, developing talent for larger shows, and providing opportunities for guys who faltered on bigger stages.
In the night’s headlining fight, former WEC Light Heavyweight Champion Doug “Rhino” Marshall took on TUF vet Kyacey Uscola in a middleweight bout. Both fighters came into the match unranked due to lack of activity in qualifying organizations. After the win, Uscola was installed at #44 in our Middleweight Rankings, while Marshall took up residence at #93.
The TPF Middleweight title was up for grabs when Leopoldo Serao faced off with Anthony Ruiz; the previously unranked Serao enters our rankings at #88 and Ruiz comes in at #104. Mark Matthews entered our Middleweight Rankings at #117 following his loss.
In a 155-pound feature bout, former WEC Lightweight Champion “Razor” Rob McCullough earned a decision win over UFC vet Corey Hill, moving from #69 to #64 in our Lightweight Rankings. Hill enters our rankings at #129.
Micah Miller entered our Bantamweight Rankings at #16 with his win over Diego Saraiva, who falls from #55 to #58 in our Featherweight Rankings.
No other currently ranked fighters appeared on the card but several should factor into FIGHT!’s Flyweight Rankings when we publish them later this year.
