Southern Hospitality
Visiting Atlanta for UFC 145? Welcome to FIGHT!’s home base. If you want to see where Coca-Cola is made, take in some art at the High Museum, or go fishing at the Aquarium, we’re pretty sure you won’t need our help, but we wouldn’t be proper hosts without showing you around, so here are some of our staff’s favorite spots to eat, drink, and be merry.
ATLANTA’S OLDEST
Atkin’s Park
Originally a deli when it opened in 1922, this restaurant and bar also happens to serve up some of the best food in Atlanta. Located in the heart of the Virginia Highlands, you can go here for dinner, then bar hop the nightlife rich area afterwards, or just stay put and have some drinks on the patio.

BOISTEROUS BURGERS
The Vortex Bar & Grill
This family-owned bar is home to a diverse crowd—students, tatted bikers, cops, grungeheads, and regular folk, too—melded into a backdrop of bizarro decor. If you want to dodge the bouginess of Midtown and gorge on an award-winning burger, then this is your spot.

SPEAK-EASY
Ormsby’s
You’ll need your hand-held GPS to locate this underground tavern, but it’s well worth the venture. Lodged in the basement of White Provisions, this gathering spot features a full bar that would make Ernest Hemingway tip his cap, with traditional games, including Backgammon, bocce, darts, pool, and shuffleboard.

ONLY THE BRAVE
The Clermont Lounge
Fair Warning. This Atlanta staple isn’t for everyone. Nestled in the basement of the Clermont Hotel, this famous club boasts a smoky atmosphere, stiff drinks, and strippers who are, let’s just say, experienced. Think of it not so much as the place to be, but the place you can say you’ve been.

OUT OF GAS
Leon’s Filling Station
If you favor a good draught beer, head over to Leon’s Full Service in Decatur. This reformed filling station has massive garage doors opening up to an outdoor shaded patio where you can fill up on gourmet pub grub or sip a beer while you handle your friends in an outdoor bocce match.

PICK ME UP
Inman Perk
It’s a little off the beaten path, but Inman Perk is a great family owned spot for those looking for quality caffeine outside of the mainstream. A local favorite, Inman Perk serves up fast wi-fi, engaging artwork, desserts, and, according to FIGHT! photographer Paul Thatcher, the best espresso in Atlanta.

RThomas Deluxe Grille
Food after a late night of drinking is always a win. The problem is finding someplace that’s open at 4am. You could visit Waffle House and we wouldn’t blame you, but for healthier fare, check out RThomas. With around-the-clock service and organic foods, this whimsical restaurant is a favorite for those looking for quality late-night eats.
