Random Bits
Referee Dan Mirgliotta had to remove a bit of broken tooth from Stefan Struve’s mouthpiece in between the second and third rounds.
Dana White said at the press conference that after the main event, Diego Sanchez looked “as bad as anyone I’ve seen” in the Octagon and that he had been transported to the hospital. White estimated that Sanchez’s nose was broken in the second round but was impressed that the challenger kept coming after Penn. “That Tony Robbins shit really works,” White said.
